NINE TO FIVE

Today's mission was to stock up on basics and more "work-appropriate" pieces. Somehow
managed to justify these cropped silver pants which don't really fulfill either of those requirements but,
hey, you only live once. That makes just about anything seem rational.

Not usually a big H&M fan but they redeemed themselves with these beauties and the white
blazer also pictured above. Starting to question my own judgement here, but have to admit I'm
excited to see what kind of reactions these get. Apologies in advance to my neighbourhood baristas
for blinding you with these tomorrow morning.

The resemblance is striking, no? Halloween here I come.

CURRENT OBSESSION:
SILVER SKIRTS

Jenni Kayne D'Orsay flats, Wilfred silk trench, Hypnotica skirt by Ellery,
Acne tank, LowLuv necklace (an oldie but a goodie)

Alexander Wang bra, Elizabeth & James shoes, Karl Safa skirt,
Joie tank, T by Alexander Wang mesh cardigan

I'll be the first to admit that I don't throw the word "obsessed" around lightly,
but this time I really mean it. For some reason, a perfect metallic pencil skirt has
been seeming like the answer to all my problems lately. Maybe it's this shot of
Vanessa Traina that's been haunting my desktop (and my daydreams) for too long now,
or maybe it's the fact that they're basically the ultimate transition piece. Cue the beauties
pictured above by Ellery and Karl Safa. Ideally paired with as much white and
beige as possible, as per usual.

BITS & PIECES

Two more recent additions. This silver cuff was another antique market find - can't wait to layer it
alongside my standard all-white-everything summer uniform (more on that later). I know it's May, but
I've been desperately searching for a well-fitting cable knit sweater for what feels like forever, and this
is the first one that's come close. And besides, Mother Nature has yet to get the memo that i's Summer,
and I'll take any excuse I can get to pair my favourite skirts with thicker knits.
